Honey came to us April 19, after a concerned citizen saw her bleeding in a pasture by the road. It was learned that she had injured her hind legs in a cattle guard, and was slated to go to auction the next day. Funds were raised, and she was purchased from the owners, and taken immediately to the veterinary office, where she received the attention that she so desperately needed. She is healing here at Horse Feathers, and will be evaluated as to her adoptability when she has recovered. Donations for her care are gratefully accepted.

We will continue to update on Honey's progress. She is a beautiful mare, and in time, will be restored to health.
